Eid al-Adha ( Bakr-Id ) – “festival of sacrifice” Celebration at Jharsuguda
Jharsuguda: Bakr-Id which is also known as Feast of the Sacrifice, the Major Festival,the Greater Eid and Bakrid,is an important 4-day religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide to honour the willingness of the prophet ?Ibr?h?m (Abraham) to sacrifice his young first-born son Ism??l (Ishmael)a as an act of submission to God’s command and his son’s acceptance to being sacrificed, before God intervened to provide Abraham with a ram (the uncastrated male sheep) to sacrifice instead.
Here in Jharsuguda , for this Celebration, people have bought goats from different places and price for each goats are in range of 30 K – 50 K per Goat.
