Financial Awareness and Financial Inclusion Program Held in Dalki, Jharsuguda
Jharsuguda : The District Savings and Financial Services Department organized a Financial Awareness and Financial Inclusion Program at the Dalki Gram Panchayat office, emphasizing the importance of informed financial decisions and accessible banking services.
The event commenced with an introductory address by Smt. Sumana Panda, District Financial Services and Savings Officer, who welcomed the participants and provided an overview of the program’s objectives.
Lead District Manager Shirapaṇi Nayak highlighted the risks associated with investing in chit fund companies, urging attendees to make safer financial choices. Basanta Kumar Patel, Postmaster of Jharsuguda Head Post Office, elaborated on government-backed schemes, including small savings plans, life insurance policies, and the Atal Pension Yojana.
Harish Sajjanappu, Senior Officer at India Post Payments Bank, shed light on the increasing prevalence of digital transactions and advised the audience on how to stay vigilant against cybercrimes.
The event saw active collaboration from Dalki Gram Panchayat representatives, including the Sarpanch and Panchayat Executive Officer, along with dedicated efforts from employees Hemakant Bag and Jagannath Raut, who ensured smooth execution.
