16th Days Activism Awareness Campaign Against Gender-Based Violence has launched.
An awareness campaign against gender-based violence began today at the Mission Shakti Kendra in Jharsuguda as part of the 16th days awareness initiative. The campaign, aimed at addressing violence against women and children, will run from 25th November to 10th December across the district.
The event was attended by various officials, including the Women’s Security Officer, Sub-Divisional Officer, District Coordinator, and representatives from the Child Marriage Prohibition, Sehada Event Organization. The program was organized collaboratively by the District Social Welfare Department and the Sehada Event Organization.
During the launch, the program highlighted the importance of community awareness and the involvement of different stakeholders, including child welfare officers, anganwadi workers, self-help group members, and employees from Mission Shakti and Sakhi Centers. The campaign aims to educate and engage the community in fighting against gender-based violence, ensuring the protection and safety of women and children in the district.
