OPGC Organized Multi-Specialist Health Check-up Camp at Remenda Gram Panchayat, Jharsuguda
Jharsuguda : Odisha Power Generation Corporation Ltd. (OPGC) today hosted a multi-specialist health check-up camp at Remenda Gram Panchayat in the Lakhanpur block of Jharsuguda district. The event aimed to provide free medical consultations and treatment to local residents, enhancing healthcare access in the region.
The camp was inaugurated by Naib Sarpanch Sabitri Pere, who was joined by R.K. Mishra, K.K. Mishra, and Himansu Bhusan Behera, Senior Manager (Corporate Communication & CSR) at OPGC, along with the CSR team, doctors, and the medical team from IB Thermal Power Station. The medical team consisted of specialists from both IB Thermal Hospital and external medical professionals invited for the camp, including Pritiranjan Patra (Orthopedics), Varsha Gupta (Gynecologist), and Soumyabrata Panda (Pediatrician), hailing from Jharsuguda and Sambalpur.
A total of 269 patients from eight nearby villages – Remenda, Bisipali, Sadera, Bhutia, Ainlajharan, Pechakanta, Naikdera, and Pandri – attended the camp. They were provided consultations and prescribed medication for various health conditions, including Melasma, hypertension (HTN), diabetes (D.M.), general weakness, dermatitis, pyrexia, respiratory infections, arthritis, knee pain, acute gastritis, vision problems, urinary tract infections (UTI), and more.
The event was coordinated by OPGC’s CSR team, including Himansu Bhusan Behera, Rajendra Sa, Tapas Panda, and Biren Bishi, with support from the IB Thermal Hospital staff, including Puspa Sunita Ekka, Pravat Ku Barik, Rita James, Sandhyarani Kisan, Ratan Kumar Pradhan, Abhimanu Bhoi, Dubraj Kisan, Dillip Deep, and Karna Bag.
As part of its ongoing CSR efforts, OPGC plans to organize more such multi-specialty health camps throughout the coming months of the financial year to continue serving the healthcare needs of local communities.
