Two arrested for committing Dacoity
Jharsuguda : Brajrajnagar Police on Tuesday arrested two persons involved in the dacoity of Aluminium Electric Wire from Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur and Sonepur.
Police identified the accused as Prasant Mirdha alias Kalia(35) Mirgamunda, Coal Pada, Dist.- Sambalpur and Santosh Ray (42) Khetrajpur, Dist.-Sambalpur
As per the report, based on the complainant of one Krushna Chandra Pattnaik, of Belpahar regarding the theft of aluminium wire from their premises. Brajrajnagar police had started the investigation and learnt that one Santosh Ray and his brother Dilip Ray had formed a gang along with Sureshan Bhoi, Prasant Mirdha, Ritesh Singh Sankar and Abhinash of Poddar Colony, Sambalpur and jointly committed theft of aluminium electric wire from Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Sonepur.
On 16th June Night, the accused Dilip Ray, Sureshan Bhoi, Prasant Mirdha, Ritesh Singh and Abhinash arrived are Chuakani in one Tata Harrier bearing no. (OD 15T 6709) and Ashok Leyland Vehicles bearing (OD 15 N 2769) had come to the spot and assaulted the security personnel and forcibly snatched away their Mobile phones.
The above miscreant had abused and tied the hands of the security guards and stolen the aluminium electric wires and snatched them away from their mobile phones.
Brajrajnagar Police arrested the two accused and forwarded them to the court and seized one mobile phone, four bundles of stolen aluminium wire, and the Tata Harrier Vehicle used in the crime. Police have also launched a manhunt for arresting the absconding accused persons in this case.
