One dies, while two sustain severe burn injuries after thier house was burnt on wee hours of Thrusday

Jharsuguda : In an unfortunate incident, one 32 year old woman was burnt to death while her husband and 12 year old son sustained severe burn injuries after their house was allegedly burnt by some miscreants late night at Itabhata area under Brajrajnagar police station limits on wee hours of Thursday.

Police identified the deceased women as Sushila Debangan, while her injured husband was identified as Tikkeshwar Debangan (45) and their 12-year-old son Veer Debagan, all three were residing at Itabhata area in a single asbestos room.

As per police sources, at around 3 am on the wee hours of Thursday, Tikkeshwar and his wife and 12-year son were sleeping inside their single room house when someone allegedly burnt their house. The fire was so intense that all the three members of a family sustained severe burn injuries and were critically injured. Learning about the incident, nearby local residents had taken all the seriously injured family members to Jharsuguda District Headquarter Hospital. However, later they were shifted to VIMSAR Burla for the further treatment, but as Sushila who had around 92 percent of burn injuries succumbed to her injuries at VIMSAR Burla, while the husband Tikkeshwar and his 12-year-old son Veer has been under treatment at VIMSAR, Burla. However, the exact cause of the fire is still not known.

Brajrajnagar Police has registered a case and is investigating the matter.
