Belpahar Police arrested two men and apprehended a juvenile in the murder of a 39-year-old driver
Jharsuguda: Belpahar Police on Sunday arrested two persons and apprehended a juvenile in connection with the murder of a 39-year-old driver, whose body was recovered near the Muchbahal Urban Primary Health Centre under the Belpahar police limits on Friday.
The accused have been identified as Anil Kishan (33) of Ainla Jharan village under Lakhanpur police station, currently residing at Muchbahal, and Dillip Kishan alias Chunu (26) of Muchbahal. A Child in Conflict with Law (CCL) was also apprehended in accordance with the provisions of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015.
Police said the trio were allegedly involved in the murder of the victim. Further investigation into the case is underway to ascertain the motive behind the crime and the sequence of events leading to the murder.
The body of the driver had been found near the Muchbahal Urban Primary Health Centre on Friday, following which Belpahar Police launched an investigation that led to the arrests within two days.
