Seven arrested for Coal Theft Case
Jharsuguda : Seven People were arrested and forwarded to court by Brajrajnagar Police for allegedly involved in the illegal Coal Theft from MCL Coal Mines on Sunday.
Police identified Seven people as Sudhir Mandal (22), Pankaja Yadav (34), Rajesh Biswakarma (42), Subhash Patel (49), Gokul Kua (33), all resident of Brajrajnagar and Subhash Chandra Raut (47) & Sukanta Nayak (24) of Belpahar.
As per the report, On getting information regarding coal theft by trucks from different mines of Brajrajnagar area, Brajrajnagar police patrolling vehicle intercepted trucks carrying illegal coals in 4 trucks bearing no. OD-23-6850, OD-23C2950, OD-23A-5450 and OR-23C-5078 along with 68 M. Tons of illegal Coal from Brajrajnagar area on the wee hours of Saturday.
Police seized four trucks involved in this along with 68 M. Tons of coal along with a Loader.
“A few days ago we have been getting information regarding the coal theft at Brajrajnagar, we had formed two teams and on 1st February after getting information about four vehicles carrying illegal coal was intercepted and seized four Hywa trucks, which was carrying coal from Lakhanpur mines and was heading to Bargarh for disposing of the illegal coal. We are still investigating this and verifying about the roles of some employees who might be involved in this, we will arrest everyone involved in this,” said Aswini Ku. Mohanty, Jharsuguda S.P.
