Jharsuguda : During COVID19 Pandemic, several retailers as well as the business houses, have been badly affected due to Covid-19 Shutdown and Lockdown.
However, during this period only, people came up with their innovative ideas to do business during this period. Likewise, even various educated people who have been residing in their home preferred to utilize this opportunity and open their new businesses.
Similarly, the duo brothers Shubham Sharma and Ujjwal Sharma of Pahadi Mandir Jharsuguda have introduced their own startup company. They had been planning to open this business during March but due to COVID19 restrictions and Lockdown, they were unable to start it. However, they have launched their website www.utkalmerchandise.com in the month of August finally. This ecommerce website is providing FMCG Goods which is catering to the essential daily needs of the household.
Shubham Sharma who recently completed his engineering didn’t want to join any corporate and wanted to be “Atmaanirbhar” (independent) so he opted to start his own business in Jharsuguda itself.
His main aim of this business is to provide best products and services to the customers at low costs and lots of benefits.
The business is generating around 30 orders per day.
As per Shubham Sharma, There are ample of opportunities in Jharsuguda. Seeing this opportunity we have come up with this ecommerce platform which would surely be beneficial for the local customers who will get their products at a reasonable price. We are also providing discounts, cashbacks as well as goodies for the customers on the products sales.”
Subham says, “Our main focus is to build an ecosystem in the agriculture sector, which is already in the pipeline and we will be coming with these facilities. Here in the agritech sector, we have planned to get connected with the farmers directly and provide them products at correct prices by eradicating the middle man, which would help the farmers to grow more and earn more.”
He further says, “Here we are planning to introduce the latest techniques of machine learning and IOT devices which would help the farmers to double their production. We are also planning to introduce “Block Chain” in the segment.
