BIJU JAYANTI OBSERVED IN JHARSUGUDA

Jharsuguda: On the occasion of the 108th birth anniversary of former Odisha Chief Minister Biju Patnaik, members of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) garlanded the statue of Biju Patnaik at Badamal Square in Jharsuguda on Tuesday.
Subsequently, a memorial meeting for the legendary Biju Patnaik took place at Hotel Meghdoot Conference Hall. Western Odisha Development Council member Mitrabhanu Sahu, District Bar Association President Trinath Gual, Former Zilla Parishad Members Minati Patra, Jagannath Bhoi, Bikram Naik, former Sarpanch Dhanurjay Seth, Mahabir Saraf, Former block president Pradip Buda, Toofan Singh Naik, Senior BJD leader Budhiram Sahu, and former councillors were present at the memorial meeting. The event was presided over by BJD District Vice-President Manoranjan Mohapatra, Banamali Tripathy, Abhay Jain, Loknath Rout, and Manoj Prasad.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that Jharsuguda district was established thanks to Biju Babu’s vision. The goal of transforming Jharsuguda into a major industrial area in the state has been successfully achieved, according to the speakers. They acknowledged that Biju Babu’s dream of propelling Odisha’s development to new heights is being carried forward by his son, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. The speakers also highlighted Biju Patnaik�s significant contribution to the country’s freedom movement, emphasizing its unforgettable nature.
As part of the event, there was a collective call for Bharat Ratna to be conferred to Biju Babu. Hundreds of BJD members from Jharsuguda, Laikera, Kolabira, and Kirmira areas actively participated in today’s memorial meeting.
