Jharsuguda: Veer Surendra Sai Airport, Jharsuguda has ranked 9th position in the Customer Satisfaction Survey (CSS) conducted by the Airport Authority of India (AAI) for the period of January to June 2023.
As per the latest survey released, VSS Airport, Jharsuguda achieved a 4.83 score on a five-point scale index in the latest CSS survey conducted by an independent agency for the period of Jan-June 2023.
“This survey was conducted for 1st time at VSS Airport, Jharsuguda. The result has been submitted by an independent Agency and declared by the Corporate Headquarters of the Airports Authority of India in New Delhi on 3rd August 2023. There were a total of 24 applicable parameters on which the survey was conducted among traveling passengers at VSS Airport, Jharsuguda as informed by Sandeep Kumar Tiwari, Airport Director.
Among the Top 10 was Bhopal Airport which stood on the top with an index of 4.99 followed by Udaipur with 4.97, then Deharadun with 4.96, Bhuntar & Kangra with 4.95, Rajahmundry with 4.94, Jammu with 4.94, Madurai with 4.92, Gwalior with 4.86, Vijayawada with 4.84 and Jharsuguda with 4.83 and Agra with 4.82.
“It’s a matter of pride that Veer Surendra Sai Airport has been ranked 9th Position on the Customer Satisfaction Index. Subsequently, we also demand that the civil aviation ministry bring more airline companies so that they can provide seamless connectivity to various sectors to potential sectors like Bangalore, Mumbai, etc. For making this airport more viable, the aviation ministry so thinks of introducing Cargo handling as Jharsuguda and its nearby area are surrounded by lots of industrial houses and even local agricultural products. Additionally, it should also have night parking facilities for planes so that this airport could flourish even more.” Said Abhishek Lath, Secretary, Hotel & Restaurant of Western Odisha
