Compensation to Kin of polling personnel who died on duty during Brajrajnagar Bye Election

Jharsuguda : Jharsuguda District administration on Friday handed an Ex-Gratia Compensation of Rs. 15 Lakhs to the Kin of both the deceased officers who died on duty during the Brajrajnagar Bye-election.

In presence of Jharsuguda Dist. Collector and Rahul Jain, SP, Jharsuguda and other district officials, a Cheque of Rs. 15 lakhs was handed to the wife of Late Home Guard Trilochan Mohanty and the wife of Asst. Teacher Dilip Kuma Khadia.

Notably, the late Dilip Kumar Khadia, an assistant teacher at Talmal High Primary School, died at Booth No. 18 Palshadhipada Government High Primary School as the second polling officer.  Similarly, the late Trilochan Mohanty, a home guard working at Jharsuguda Sadar Police Station, died on duty at Booth No. 236 Government High Primary School, Patta. With the approval of the state election commissioner, the two employees have been given Rs 15 lakh as compassionate assistance to the two employees.
