RTI Area 16 Organised Flight of Fantasy 2026 at VSS Airport, Jharsuguda for 70 Students

Jharsuguda: Round Table India – Area 16 organised a landmark edition of its flagship initiative Flight of Fantasy (FOF) 2026 on February 2 and 3, giving wings to the dreams of 70 underprivileged students and 10 teachers by enabling them to experience air travel for the first time. Children from Dhanbad, Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Jharsuguda, Rourkela, Sambalpur, Cuttack and Bhubaneswar took part in the unique journey, which directly impacted 70 young lives.

As part of the two-day programme, the students visited iconic national institutions including the Parliament House and Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi, hosted by the Tablers of New Delhi. The initiative was thoughtfully designed to blend education, recreation, cultural exposure and inspirational interactions, aiming to broaden horizons, boost confidence and ignite big dreams among the young participants.

Sharing the spirit of the programme, a beneficiary said, “This isn’t just a flight; it’s a flight to a better future.” Area Chairman Tr. Abhijeet Mohanty expressed pride in empowering young minds and reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Launched in 2010, Flight of Fantasy has grown into one of Round Table India Area 16’s most impactful initiatives, having benefited more than 10,000 children over the years. The 2026 edition was led by Area Chairman Tr. Abhijeet Mohanty, with Area FOF Conveners LMF Tr. Harsh Wardhan Kandoi and Tr. Vineet Lohariwal, along with Chairmen Tr. Ankit Sultania (Jharsuguda, JRT-236), Tr. Saransh Pansari (Sambalpur, SRT-325), Tr. Navpreet Singh (Rourkela, RRT-194) and Tr. Anup Agarwal (RCRT-307).

Round Table India is a non-political and non-sectarian organisation dedicated to service, fellowship and goodwill, with a strong focus on “Freedom Through Education”. To date, the organisation has constructed over 9,272 classrooms across 3,782 projects, covering 3.67 million square feet and impacting more than 10.2 million children, with a total investment exceeding ₹500 crore—proving that Freedom Through Education is not just a motto, but a promise.
