Collector Conducts Surprise Visit to Laikera Schools; Teacher Issued Show-Cause Notice
Jharsuguda : In response to public grievances raised at the Laikera Block Office, the District Collector, accompanied by the District Education Officer (DEO), Block Chairman, and Block Development Officer (BDO), conducted a surprise inspection of Kukerama Upper Primary School and Talmunda Upper Primary School.
The visit aimed to assess the quality of education and monitor the implementation of the Udiyan Tara initiative, a flagship program designed to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. The Collector personally interacted with students to gauge their academic progress and ensure they were benefiting from the initiative.
During the inspection, it was found that Krushna Kishan, a teacher, was absent from duty without adhering to the Odisha Leave Rules. Taking serious note of the lapse, the Collector issued a show-cause notice to the teacher, underscoring the administration’s zero-tolerance policy towards negligence in education.
The visit highlights the administration’s commitment to addressing public concerns and ensuring accountability in the education sector. Further action is expected based on the investigation of the teacher’s absence.
