Jharsuguda, July 7, 2024: In a heartfelt initiative celebrating Van Mahotsav, the Brahma Kumaris Ashram in Jharsuguda distributed free plant saplings to devotees, urging them to plant a tree in the name of their mothers. This event aimed to promote environmental consciousness and personal dedication to nature conservation.
The program concluded on July 7, 2024, with an inspiring message from the Chief Guest, Shakti Prasad Rath, the Branch Manager of LIC Jharsuguda. Rath emphasized the importance of individual responsibility in combating climate change and preserving the environment for future generations.
Joining Rath included Ashish Shukla, a dedicated nature and wildlife enthusiast, Former Forester of Jharsuguda Ramesh Chandra Nath, Ritesh Kumar Sharma, a respected journalist with The Times of India, and B.K. Aswini, the Central in charge of the Brahma Kumaris organization. They, along with B.K. Amruth Bhai and other distinguished guests shared their insights on the significance of tree planting and sustainable living.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from the local community, with many devotees taking home saplings to plant in honor of their mothers. This gesture symbolized not only love and respect for their mothers but also a commitment to nurturing the earth.
B.K. Aswini, in her address, highlighted the spiritual and environmental benefits of planting trees, encouraging everyone to make tree planting a regular practice. “Every tree planted is a step towards a greener, healthier planet,” she said.
