Jharsuguda: A two-day Nuakhai meet organised by the Naba Das Foundation concluded on sunday organised at Sarbahal High School Grounds, Jharsuguda. On the first day of the event, a blood donation camp was held, where 1001 units of blood were collected. On Sunday , Bollywood actor Govinda along with Indian Idol Fame Abhijeet Swant and Famous Gazal singer Ranjeet Rajwada had thrilled audience by thier spectacular performance.
On the first day, various cultural programmes were organised at Sarbahal Mancha. Many people took part in it. Artists and dance artists from various places danced to the tunes of Dalkhai, Rasarkeli, Sambalpuri music, and other music.
Similarly, there was a dance competition for three categories of different groups.
The performances by Ollywood actress Sital Patra, Tamana Vyas, dance master Shaswat Joshi, Sambalpur singer Uma, and Archana Padhi mesmerized the audience. A stall for SHG women was also held on this occasion.
The Nuakhai Meet is an annual event that celebrates the new harvest season. It is a popular festival in Odisha and attracts people from all over the state. The event is a showcase of Odia culture, with traditional music, dance, and food.
