Hum Sath Sath Hain – Social Organisation Sets Up Stall to Distribute Winter Wear to Needy

Jharsuguda: With temperatures dipping to nearly 13°C, members of the social organisation Hum Sath Sath Hain have taken an initiative to support underprivileged residents battling the onset of winter. The group has set up a dedicated stall infront of Jharsuguda Town Police Station to distribute winter wear to those in need.

The initiative was formally inaugurated by senior citizen Arjun More and Sub Inspector Rashmi Khatoi on Friday. On the very first day, the organisation managed to distribute warm clothes to over 50 needy individuals, offering timely relief as cold conditions intensify across the region.

According to members of the organisation, the stall will remain operational for seven days, during which anyone requiring winter clothing can collect it for free. Additionally, residents willing to contribute unused or gently-worn winter wear are encouraged to donate at the stall.

“A large number of people are unable to afford warm clothing. Through this initiative, we hope they can stay protected during the cold season,” said one of the members. “We also request people to come forward and donate their unused winter wear so that we can pass it on to those who need it the most.”

The initiative has been supported by several active members of the group, including, Anil Agarwal, Biju Mundra, Adarsh Kedia, Shyam Poddar, Raj Kumar Modi, Chandan Balodia, and Shyam Ratan Sharma.

The organisation stated that similar welfare activities will be taken up in the coming days to continue contributing to the betterment of society.
