Jharsuguda School Prodigy Takes Center Stage in Odisha School Hockey Team
Jharsuguda : In a remarkable achievement within just 20 months of its establishment, Jharsuguda Hockey has reached a significant milestone with the selection of Rajeswari, a talented student from Navodaya Vidyalaya Jharsuguda, as the goalkeeper for the Odisha School Hockey team.
Set to embark on a journey to Karnataka on December 29th, Rajeswari is gearing up to represent Odisha in the National School Hockey tournament. The news has garnered praise from various dignitaries, including District Collector Aboli Sunil Naravane, Zilla Parishad CEO Prabir Kumar Naik, Hockey Association of India President Padmashree Dr Dilip Kumar Tirkey, and Odisha Hockey Association Vice President Jeeban Mohanty.
Born on August 4th, 2010, Rajeswari, a natural talent in district-level hockey, honed her skills with training at Kaling Stadium last year. Her father Prafulla Kumar Naik an employee of Jindal Steel, and her mother Mamatarani Naik an inspirational figure, have played crucial roles in her journey. With a commitment to showcasing the prowess of Odisha and Jharsuguda, Rajeswari vows to make her mark on the national stage, promising a bright future for herself and her community in the realm of hockey.
