Belpahar Gets Express Train stoppages, Belpahar Lakhanpur Block Rail User Forum Calls Off Strike

Jharsuguda: The BBelpahar Lakhanpur Block Rail User Forum has called off the rail strike that was scheduled for 14 July. The railway department sent a letter on 10 July agreeing to Stoppages of Express trains at the Belpahar railway station as per the demand of the association.

The association had been demanding the Expres train stoppages at the Belpahar railway station for several years. They argued that this would make it easier for people from the area to travel to and from other parts of the country.

The railway department’s decision to accommodate the train is a victory for the association. However, the president of the association, Biranchi Sahu, said that the agitation for the overall improvement of Belpahar railway station will continue. He said that they want to make Belpahar a model station in the coming days.

A grand program on railway accommodation is scheduled to be held at Belpahad railway station on July 16. Suresh Pujari, MP, will be the chief guest and flag off the Durga Rajendra Nagar South Bihar Express train at 12:57 PM.

The association has thanked the railway department for their decision to have the train stoppage at Belpahar railway station. They have also thanked the MP for his support.

The association said that they will continue to work for the overall improvement of Belpahar railway station. They hope that the railway department will take their other demands into consideration as well.
