Jharsuguda Railway Station to be Redeveloped into a World-Class Station
Jharsuguda: The Railway Department is planning to redevelop Jharsuguda Railway Station into a world-class station. The project, which is estimated to cost around Rs 300 crore, will involve the construction of two new foot over bridges, the extension of platforms, and the upgrade of the station building.
The two new foot over bridges will be equipped with waiting areas and seating facilities for passengers. The platforms will be extended to 800 metres, and the number of platforms will be increased from 5 to 12. The station building will also be renovated and expanded.
In addition to the physical infrastructure, the Railway Department is also planning to improve the passenger amenities at Jharsuguda Railway Station. This includes providing better waiting areas, toilets, and food stalls. The station will also be Wi-Fi-enabled.
The redevelopment of Jharsuguda Railway Station is expected to be completed in the next two years. Once completed, the station will be a major boost to the economy of Jharsuguda and the surrounding region. It will also help to improve connectivity and attract tourists to the area.
