BJD holds closed-door meeting to discuss Jharsuguda by-election
Jharsuguda: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) party has made progress in its preparations for the upcoming Jharsuguda by-election. The BJD party appointed block and municipality observers for the upcoming Jharsuguda by-election on the same day that they held a closed-door meeting in Jharsuguda to discuss the by-election. The meeting was attended by several observers including Pranab Prakash Das, Prasanna Acharya, Debi Prasad Mishra, and Sharada Nayak.
Dipali Das, the daughter of the late Naba Das, is the BJD candidate for the by-election. She expressed confidence in the party’s chances, stating that the developmental works initiated by her father will continue in the future. She also said that Jharsuguda has seen development during the leadership of her father, and she will ensure that the developmental works continue.
BJD leader Prasanna Acharya spoke about the meeting, stating that the only agenda of the meeting was development. The BJD party aims to continue the developmental work that has been initiated in the constituency.
The by-election has become necessary following the death of Naba Kishore Das, the former representative of the constituency. The formal notification for the by-election will be released on April 13. Nomination submissions will be accepted until April 20, and scrutiny of the same will be held on April 21. Nominations for the by-election can be withdrawn by April 24.
Voting for the Jharsuguda Assembly Constituency will take place on May 10, and the counting of votes will be done on May 13. The BJD party is confident that they will win the by-election with a big margin, and they are fully committed to continuing the developmental work in the constituency.
