Jharsuguda : Jharsuguda Police on Friday arrested a staff of a shopping mall for committing a burglary of Rs. 2.6 Lakhs from the West Side shopping mall present at Sarbahal road.
The accused was identified as Deb Nayak (24), a resident of Udaypur Village, under Delang Police station
As per the report, based on the complaint filed by the West Side store manager Samir Kumar Biswal, that on 25th July night some unknown miscreants had broken the back door of the store and had committed a theft od Rs. 2.6Lakhs cash along with 4 numbers of Samsung Tablets, CCTV DVR Machine and Jio Internet Modem. Based on the complainant, a case was registered and an investigation was carried out.
During the investigation, it was learnt that one staff of the shipping mall namely Deb Nayak remained absent in this duty without leave. Hence on suspicion basing upon the mobile tracking Deb Nayak was apprehended from his own village at Udaipur, Delang Dist. Puri who had confessed to having committed the burglary in this shopping mall where he is working since 21.06.2021 and seized a cash of Rs. 1,71,040/-, four numbers of Samsung Tablets, one CCTV DVR Machine and one Jio Internet modem.
