Two arrested for committing Rs. 12.19 Cr Fraud

Jharsuguda: Jharsuguda police on Sunday arrested two people for allegedly involved in a fraud of Rs. 12.19 Crores by forging documents of Challans and Lorry of receipts of M/s Orissa Bengal Carrier Ltd. company.

Police identified the two accused as Chena Ram Saini, a resident of Rajasthan and another Akash Pathak, a resident of Sarbahal Powerhouse road, Jharsuguda

As reported, based on the complainant filed by Ravi Agrawal, Owner of Orissa Bengal Carrier Ltd. regarding criminal breach of trust, cheating of Rs 12.19 crores by preparing valuable forged documents i.e., challans and lorry receipts of his employee namely Chena Ram Saini and others, in this regard a case was registered under Jharsuguda PS Case No 215/21 U/S 467/468/471/420/408/120 (B) IPC registered.

During the investigation, it was learnt that the principal accused Chena Ram Saini was arrested from Rahe, Ranchi and another accused person namely Akash Pathak of Sarbahal owner of Ashirwad Creation Printing Press was also arrested for its involvement.

During the interrogation of the accused person, it came to light that accused Chena Ram Saini has committed misappropriation crores of Rupees from which he purchased lands, luxurious cars, and owned four numbers of firms in his name of i.e., M/s Ashirwad Enterprises, Ashirwad Logistics, Baba Ramdev Roadways and Ashirwad Traders etc. Both accused were forwarded to court.
