Jharsuguda Teams leaves for Haryana to rescue minor Girl
Jharsuguda : Acting on a complaint of torture to a minor girl from Odisha in Bhiwani area of Haryana, Jharsuguda administration has sent two teams comprising police and officials of Jharsuguda district administration on Friday, to rescue the minor girl from Bhiwani.
The four-member teams, also included the family members of the girl and the officials of district child protection units, who left from Jharsuguda to Raipur by train from where they will head towards Bhiwani.
As per reports, A minor girl from Jharsuguda district was allegedly sold to a man in Haryana and was rescued by the police when the minor girl tried to escape from the captive of the man by jumping from the second floor, where she was held captive.
The minor girl is undergoing treatment at Hisar hospital after suffering critical injuries while attempting to flee from the house.
As per the District Child Protection Officer Sunanada Maharana said that” We received information in the morning that a minor girl belonged from Jharsuguda district had been allegedly sold to a man of Haryana and in a bid to escape from him, she has sustain injuries and admitted to a hospital. Immediately, Jharsuguda District & Police administration had formed two teams consisting of four members each has been sent through the train, which will later take a flight from Raipur to reach Haryana and rescue the minor girl. In this team, even the girl’s father has also been sent.”
When enquired about the daughter to his father, who works in a hotel, he replied ” I don’t anything about it, due to some problems I had kept her at my elder brothers house. I don’t know when they had done this. I have not met my daughter for two months. Few days back only I enquired about her, but the elder brother replied me that she is fine. “
