Jharsuguda MLA Tankadhar Tripathy Assures Shopkeepers: No Plans for Demolition of Municipality Shops, Promises to Work for the Development of Shopkeepers and the Market.

Jharsuguda, March 9: A delegation of the business community from Jharsuguda met the Hon’ble MLA of Jharsuguda, Sri Tankadhar Tripathy, today to address growing concerns over rumours about the demolition of municipality shops from Jhanda Chowk to the Old Bus Stand for the construction of a new extended road.

The meeting was held in response to widespread speculation that the government was planning to remove these shops as part of a road expansion project. Concerned shopkeepers sought clarification from the MLA, fearing that such a move could severely impact their businesses and livelihoods.

MLA Tankadhar Tripathy promptly reassured the shopkeepers that no such demolition plans have been made by the government. He affirmed that the current government is committed to protecting the interests of local businesses and will ensure that no injustice is done to shopkeepers.

“The government is actively exploring ways to ease traffic congestion on the main road without affecting local businesses. The goal is to divert traffic from the main road to improve the overall business environment, which has been facing challenges due to heavy traffic,” said MLA Tripathy.

The positive assurance from the MLA brought a sense of relief among the shopkeepers. They expressed their gratitude to MLA Tripathy for his prompt response and support in safeguarding their businesses. The shopkeepers unanimously thanked him for his efforts and commitment to protecting the interests of the business community in Jharsuguda.

This timely intervention has helped ease tensions and restore confidence among the local business owners, ensuring that their livelihoods remain secure while the government works towards improving the town’s infrastructure.
