On the occasion of The 60th Lakhanpur Lok Mahotsav-Tihar 2025 a Kalash Yatra was organized.

Jharsuguda: The Kalash Yatra of the 60th Lakhanpur Lok Mahotsav-Tihara 2025 has been successfully conducted. The auspicious procession commenced after offering prayers at Maa Samaleswari Temple in Lakhanpur. The Kalash-bearing young girls collected sacred water from the waterfall flowing beside the Jagannath Temple and later had darshan of Lord Jagannath.

Following this, the grand Shobha Yatra (procession) traversed through various localities, gradually proceeding through the block office area and culminating at the Maa Samaleswari Mahotsav Ground. The event concluded with the ceremonial installation of the “Mayer Pillar” (auspicious pillar of honor) in a traditional manner.

Under the leadership of Pitambar Mishra, along with chief organizer Shashibhushan Patra and priests Janardhan Panda and Premananda, the Shobha Yatra was successfully completed.

Additionally, prominent figures including Bhaskar Gardia, Narottam Pradhan, Mahendra Pradhan, Nityananda Benia, Deepak Dansana, Ganesh Ram Dhrua, Krishna Saraf, Lesson Dhrua, Yogendra Sahu, Jayadev Pandey, Srikant Bhoi, and Purushottam Jayaswal participated in this historic procession.

A special attraction was the Jay Jagannath Yatra Sampradaya Mandali from the village of Bhaunrakhol, who enhanced the spiritual ambiance of the procession with their traditional musical performances, making the event even more captivating.
