JHARSUGUDA: Residents of Sarbahal Area on Thursday staged a protest against the WESCO (Western Electricity Supply Company of Orissa Ltd.) Office over frequent unscheduled power cuts.
The residents gathered at the WESCO Office of situated at Near Kishan Chowk, Beheramal and had blocked the main gate of the Electrical Office by staging Dharna for over three hours.
“We are fed up with the unscheduled power cuts, which extends up to 3 to 4 hours. They neither inform us about the power cuts nor bothered to give answers. Power cuts�especially in the morning hours which makes life difficult to the school going children. Due to which we have sat in the protest till we get the satisfactory answer with the concerned authority.” said Madhav Dixit, a resident of Sarbahal.
When we tried to contact the WESCO officials they didn’t answer to our calls till the time this article went to press.
