26th-Year-Old Solo Rider Radhika Rao set out to capture Smiles

Jharsuguda :�A 26-year-old freelance photographer Radhika Rao, who set out from Chennai on April 9 with her bike to capture the smile, �arrived Industrial town Jharsuguda on Friday, crossing Raipur (Chhattisgarh). This is just a part of Radhika’s journey across the country on her motorcycle, where she aims to cover all the 29 states.

Radhika is riding Solo on her Bajaj Avenger motorcycle to collect the photograph of “Smiling People”. She reached Jharsuguda on Friday and left for Bhubaneswar on Tuesday.

“I have been planning for this adventurous trip since two years but people kept on discouraging me saying that you so small. However, six months back I decided that I would embark on the expedition and capture the journey, culture, tradition of people of the different region through my photography.”

She has been documenting her entire trip on her Facebook page titled “Carefree Vagabond” which has over 382 followers. When asked about her parent’s reaction about her trip, She says that ” My parents were excited about the trip.”

When I told them that I had planned to travel across the country on my bike, they encouraged me and appreciated my plan. My father works in IT and my mother works in Central Government Department.

When asked about the security while travelling alone, She said I have learnt Boxing and Self Defense Tricks and strong enough to face any situation. Moreover, the Bajaj Avengers Club, which has members all over, has promised to help me in finding places to stay.

She said that she has raised the total amount of the trip with the help of family and friends.

Here in Jharsuguda, She was being helped by Mischievous Roadies Club Members�Tahir Hussain, Khusboo Sahu and another member from Sambalpur.
