Awareness Program on Menstrual Hygiene and Cervical Cancer Conducted by Narasingh Tripathy Charitable Trust

Jharsuguda: Narasingh Tripathy Charitable Trust successfully organized an awareness program on menstrual hygiene and cervical cancer at the Engineering School Auditorium, Jharsuguda, with the objective of educating women and young girls about safe menstrual practices, personal hygiene, early identification of health issues, and preventive care.
The program was led by Ms. Gudia Tripathy, who emphasized the importance of maintaining proper hygiene during menstruation, using safe sanitary products, and seeking timely medical consultation. The session also focused on spreading awareness about cervical cancer, its symptoms, risk factors, prevention through vaccination, and the importance of regular health screening for early detection.
Distinguished guests present on the occasion included Dr. Nita Prakash, Dr. S. J. Patel, Dr. Reena Patel, Ms. Sujata Agarwal, Ms. Sudha Awasthi, and Ms. Jyoti Lath, who addressed the participants, clarified common myths, and encouraged open discussions on women’s health and wellness.
The program witnessed active participation from students and community members, creating a positive environment for learning and awareness. The interactive session helped participants gain practical knowledge and confidence to take better care of their health and spread awareness in their families and communities.
