Jharsuguda: Jharsuguda Sadar Police on Sunday evening arrested and produced before the court seven individuals for their alleged involvement in the kidnapping and assault case.
The arrested accused have been identified as Man Bahadur alias Raja Mann Sultan, Raj Kishor Sha, Harsh Bardhan, Sanjay Mandal, Kartik Singh, Hemant Tanty, and Aman Dattani.
According to police sources, the case stems from a financial dispute. The complainant, Sagar Dash, had reportedly borrowed money on interest from one Raja Mann Sultan. However, he had already paid the amount of his borrowed money with interest. but there was still some amount left to be paid. Following this dispute, Raja, along with his associates, allegedly kidnapped Dash and assaulted him.
The victim later lodged a formal complaint at Jharsuguda Sadar Police Station. Acting swiftly on the complaint, police registered a case and apprehended the accused. They were forwarded to court under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, including charges of kidnapping and assault case.
