Jharsuguda : Jharsuguda Sadar Police on Thursday arrested four people in connection with assaulting security guards of closed Action Ispat. They had also stolen some scrap materials by showing pistols and swords.
Police identified the accused as Munnu Pandey (23), a resident of Cox Colony, Dinesh Shankar (34), Khrissa Sha (28) both residents of Purunabasti and Ganesh Oram (29) resident of Marakuta
The police official said, “ As per the complaint filed by one Babulu Bhoi (39) on the eve of Independence Day on 15th August, he along with another security guard was present at Security Barrack inside the plant, when the accused four persons entered inside the Action Ispat Plant Security barrack holding a deadly weapon like pipes, lathi, sword, pistol with the intention to kill in life. They also assaulted and terrorized the complainant and other security guards and had stolen some scrap materials by showing a pistol and sword. Subsequently, a case was registered and raids were conducted and arrested the four accused.
Police have also seized one red color Audi Card bearing Regd. No. OD-15Q-0055, One white color Ertiga Car bearing Regd. No. OD-23P-3640, Weapon of offense i.e. two nos. pipes, two nos. of sword and one country-made 9mm pistol with 02 live ammunition and 3 nos. of mobile phone of accused persons
