Subarnna Jayanti Logo Unveiled at Purunabasti Government High School
Jharsuguda: Purunabasti Government High School in Jharsuguda will celebrate its Golden Jubilee next year. In this regard, a special event was held today at the school premises. The Golden Jubilee logo was unveiled during a ceremony at the Tejaraj Pandey Auditorium, attended by several distinguished guests.
The event was chaired by the school’s headmaster, Hemant Tripathy, with the District Collector, Sunil Narwane, as the chief guest. The honored guests included the Superintendent of Police, Smita Parama, retired teacher Himadri Pandey, and District Education Officer, Dr. Radhakanta Gadetia, who was the main speaker.
In memory of Tejaraj Pandey, the auditorium, built with a donation of more than a lakh of rupees from his family, was inaugurated by District Collector Narwane. The Golden Jubilee logo was then unveiled. The guests praised the efforts of the school and expressed their hopes for further improvements in the coming days, as the school is already listed for development.
Headmaster Hemant Tripathy, who is retiring today, was also honored during the event. District Collector Narwane assured that a new headmaster would be appointed soon, as confirmed by Education Officer Dr. Gadetia.
Ashok Mahapatra, Chairman of the Golden Jubilee Organizing Committee, and Editor Prashant Maharana, along with their team, expressed their commitment to making the upcoming Golden Jubilee celebration a success.
The event saw participation from several local dignitaries, including retired principal Narendra Panda from Lakshmi Narayan College, Surendra Panda, Saroj Mahapatra, Shyamalendu Pradhan, Man Ranjan Mahapatra, and Vijay Kumar Patil. The school’s teachers, staff, students, and local residents were also present.
