Flight for Delhi to start by May 2024 : Sandeep Tiwari, Airport Director, VSS Airport, Jharsuguda
Jharsuguda :�Indigo Airlines to commence its Delhi Flight from May, from Veer Surendra Sai (VSS) Airport, Jharsuguda. This has been informed by Jharsuguda Airport Director Sandeep Kumar Tiwari
Jharsuguda Airport Director Sandeep Tiwari said, �Today we have received approval for Delhi Flight which will be run by Indigo Airlines starting from May 2024. Earlier this Delhi flight was not present in the summer schedule, as from 31st March Spicejet airlines stopped its service, so we tried a lot and were in contact with Indigo Airlines along with our corporate headquarters because of which we are getting a Delhi flight, which will further connect Lucknow also.� The Flight will come from Lucknow to Delhi and then Jharsuguda and simultaneously will go back from Jharsuguda to Delhi and then Lucknow. The Delhi Flight will arrive at Jharsuguda at 4:35 pm, and Later it will Depart for Delhi at 5:05 pm from VSS Airport, Jharsuguda. This aircraft will be an Airbus 320 with a seating capacity of 186 passengers.�
Earlier, three airlines were operating their flight services including Spicejet Airlines, Indigo Airlines and Alliance Airlines. However, after the withdrawal of Spicejet Airlines, only two flight operators are operating their flight operations i.e. Alliance Air and Indigo Airlines.
Presently, Indigo Airlines operates its direct flight to Kolkata and Bengaluru while Alliance Air operates its flight to Bhubaneswar.
