Odisha’s Padma Awardees to Receive Monthly Honorarium

Bhubaneswar: The prestigious Padma Awards, India’s highest civilian honours, recognise outstanding contributions across various fields. These awards have consistently elevated the nation’s pride, and Odisha’s Padma awardees have played a significant role in enhancing the state’s reputation.

In a commendable move, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has announced a monthly honorarium for Odisha’s Padma awardees. Starting in April 2024, these distinguished individuals will receive a monthly honorarium of ₹25,000 per month as a mark of recognition for their exceptional contributions to society.

The Padma Awards celebrate excellence in diverse domains, including arts, literature, science, sports, and social service. By extending this monthly honour, the Odisha government acknowledges the tireless efforts and impact of these awardees.
