Surgeon in Vigilance net for accepting a bribe for conducting a surgery

Jharsuguda : Vigilance officials on Friday evening had apprehended a surgeon Dr. Suprit Saurav, for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs. 6000 from two patients from Belpahar for conducting Hydrocele Operation.

As per the sources, The duo Patients Gurudev Gardia and Jairam Bhainsa had visited Jharsuguda District Headquarter Hospital for their Hydrocele Operation however, the doctor told that surgeries will cost Rs. 6000 for both.

After that, the doctor had demanded to bring Rs. 6000 and had over to him before the surgery. On Friday evening, the duo patients Gurudev Gardia and Jairam Bhainsa had arrived Near Hotel Shankar and had paid the doctor, when a team of vigilance had caught him red handed accepting the bribe amount.

As per one of the complainant, Jairam Bhainsa , “We had gone for a hydrocele operation at Jharsuguda headquarter Hospital but doctor insisted for Rs. 3000 each, as our family members came late , he told that the surgery will not take place now come after three four days. So, we got ourself discharged from hospital and later we had called doctor to pay the amount demanded, As,  he was present near Hotel Shankar, so we came and had paid him the money and came back.”
