Jharsuguda : A 48-year-old Father and his 23-year-old son were injured after they were attacked by unknown masked armed miscreants who had entered their house for committing dacoity in the wee hours of Thursday under Rengali Police station Limits of Jharsuguda District.
The injured victims were identified as Hrudananda Biswal (48 years old) a cloth trader and his son Atish Biswal (23), who were injured both residents of Kanaktura under Rengali Police station limits.
As per the police officials, in the wee hours of Thursday at 1:30 am, five masked miscreants who were armed had entered the house of one Hrudananda Biswal locked the other family members in a room, and snatched their mobile phones and had thrown them into a water-filled bucket. Meanwhile, the Owner of the house Hrudananda resisted and tried to overpower them but, the masked miscreants stabbed him in his stomach, during this scuffle even his son Atish got injured. However, they had left the place after snatching a gold chain from the wife of Hrundanada Biswal.
Rengali Police Station officer in charge Kamal Lochan Behera Said, “As per the victims, around 4-5 person had entered their house. We called Dog Squad and Scientific Team to the spot. Meanwhile, we have launched a manhunt to nab the miscreants involved in this crime.”
