Jharsuguda Children’s Festival Held at Thakkar Baba Sebasadan
Jharsuguda: In Jharsuguda, the Child Protection Unit orchestrated a festival for children and a programme for inspiration for children residing in childcare institutions at the district level. The programme was held in Belpahar town.
Ashish Kumar Panda, CDPO Sunananda Maharana, and District Arts and Culture Council Surang Pradhan attended the inaugural gathering.
Over 70 children and staff from four childcare institutions in Jharsuguda district participated in the event. On the initial day, competitions in singing, dancing, debating, general knowledge, and drawing were organised in both junior and senior divisions.
A panel of evaluators, encompassing Suranga Pradhan, Niranjan Mali, Vijay Kumar Bhoi, Shubham Pratap Singh, Dimple Pradhan, Dinesh Karali, and other adjudicators, determined the first, second, and third positions among the children.
The visitors awarded prizes to the contestants in the afternoon at the conclusion of the day-long competition. Madhusmita Singh, Executive Officer of Belpahar Municipal Council, Vice President Mrs. Reena Suna and former Vice President Anupama Bhainsal, District Labour Officer Sunita Kisan, Chief Child Welfare Committee Mr. Ashish Kumar Panda, and DCPO Sunand Maharna congregated and motivated the children in this prize distribution gathering.
The subsequent stage of the programme is slated to be held on Thursday. The district-level competition is programmed to take place at the state-level Keeling Stadium from November 1 to 5.
Priyanka Samal of the Child Protection Unit, Sameer Mishra, Anwaran Harpal, Nirakar Kisan, Editor of the Thakkar Baba Sebasadan, Ms Sushree Bhoi, Yugal Kishore Dagyal of the Daniels Institute, etc. were participants in this programme.
