Jharsuguda : A 35-year-old man died after he was allegedly beaten by a group of men over some issue at a Petrol Pump near Katarbaga Village under Rengali Police station limits in Jharsuguda District
The deceased has been identified as Ganesh Singh (35), a resident of Machida Village under Lakhanpur Block in Jharsuguda District.
As per police sources, at around 3 pm, the deceased Ganesh Singh had gone to a Petrol Pump where he had a verbal argument with the workers of the petrol pump over some issue after which he was allegedly beaten by the group of petrol pump workers and had seriously injured. Later he was shifted to Lakhanpur CHC, however, he was again shifted to Jharsuguda Dist. Headquarter Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
As the elder brother of the deceased, Dolamani Singh said, “He had come to our home after a long time, on Thursday, he had taken his meal and had gone out for some work afternoon and evening we heard that he was attacked at a petrol pump. As my brother will now never come back to life but we want proper punishment for the main culprit who has committed this crime.”
Meanwhile, Rengali Police Station officer in charge Kamal Lochan Behera said, “We have already detained 6 youths in this connection and the investigation is going.”
