Congress Candidate Tarun Pandey Files Nomination for Jharsuguda Assembly By-Election
Jharsuguda: Tarun Pandey, the Congress candidate, filed his nomination for the Jharsuguda Assembly by-election in Odisha, which is scheduled to take place on May 10.
Accompanied by senior Congress leaders, including Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) President Sarat Pattanayak, Senior Congress Leaders Tara Prasad Bahinipati, and Bijay Patnaik, Tarun took out an impressive procession and submitted his nomination papers at the office of the Jharsuguda Sub – Collector.
Pandey took out an impressive procession, in which thousands of congress supporters participated in the rally from Man Mohan ME School Ground to Jharsuguda Sub-collector Office and filed the nomination papers at the office of Jharsuguda Sub collector.
Odisha PCC President Sarat Pattnayak said, �Jharsuguda has been a Congress Party seat and enjoys the overwhelming support of the people of the constituency. Tarun Pandey�s father, former Congress MLA Birendra Pandey time, he had contributed a lot to the development of Jharsuguda and to fulfill the uncomplete dream of former MLA of Jharsuguda Birendra Pandey, the Congress party has selected Tarun Pandey and We are sure that, the youth Congress Candidate Tarun Babu, will fight for all basic problem faced by the people of this constituency.�

Tarun Pandey is the son of former Jharsuguda MLA Biren Pandey, who passed away last month. The former MLA was elected to the Odisha Assembly thrice on a Congress ticket in 1980, 1985, and 1995.
On the Other hand, BJD has fielded Dipali Das, daughter of slain Minister Naha Kishore Das, who will file her nomination on 18th April While BJP, Who has nominated youth leader Tankadhar Tripathy, will file his nomination on 17th April.� The nomination process for the by-poll, which began on April 13, is slated to end on April 20.
