Jharsuguda : Indigo Airlines may commence their operation from Veer Surendra Sai Airport, Jharsuguda from the coming Summer Schedule. However, it is very premature to predict the commencement of flight operations by indigo from Jharsuguda Airport. This is informed by VSS Airport Director Pavan Kumar Zutshi.
Indigo Airlines will be the third airline’s provider to provide air connectivity to Veer Surendra Sai Airport along with Alliance Air and Spicejet Airlines.
Jharsuguda Airport Director Pavan Kumar Zutshi said, they have filed slots for Mumbai and Bangalore sector. However, they are yet to finalise the exact dates for starting their services. By adding of Indigo airlines, it will be very beneficial for the air travellers.â€
Presently, the footfall of the air travellers from and to Jharsuguda is around 800-1000 passengers daily.
Presently, Spicejet Airline has been operating flights for Kolkata, Hyderabad, Delhi, Bangalore from Veer Surendra Sai Airport, Jharsuguda
Apart from this Alliance Air has also been operating flights for Bhubaneswar, Raipur, Kolkata
