Three truck drivers killed in fiery accident in Jharsuguda
Jharsuguda: A tragic accident occurred on the night of Wednesday, April 5, 2023, in Jharsuguda, Odisha, where three truck drivers lost their lives after the vehicles they were travelling in� caught fire following a collision. The accident took place on National Highway 49, right in front of the Jharsuguda Sadar police station.
According to eyewitnesses, two trucks were approaching from one direction while another truck was traveling from the opposite direction. The two trucks collided head-on, and as a result, the third truck also hit them. One of the truck’s tanks exploded after the collision, and a massive fire erupted, engulfing all the vehicles involved in the accident. The drivers of all three trucks were trapped in their vehicles and were charred to death in the fire.
The authorities were immediately informed, and the police arrived at the scene of the accident to take control of the situation. The charred remains of the vehicles were removed from the road, and the police started an investigation into the incident.
The accident has once again highlighted the need for stricter road safety measures and the importance of obeying traffic rules to prevent such incidents from happening in the future.
