Normal Life affected due to 8 hour bandh called by Jharsuguda District BJP
Jharsuguda : Normal life was hit in Jharsuguda district on Saturday after members of Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) observed an 8-hour bandh demanding justice to Mamita Meher Murder, the resignation of Odisha’s Minister Divyashankar Mishra and CBI enquiry into the incident.
Responding to the bandh, almost all shops and business establishments including financial institutions remained closed in most areas. The movement of vehicular traffic too remained disrupted.
In Jharsuguda district, members of Bharatiya Janta Party picketed several places at Jharsuguda, Belpahar, Brajrajnagar, Kolabira, Kirmira, Lakhanpur, Laikera
Odisha State BJP Secretary Tankadhar Tripathy said, “Till now no action has been taken against the Odisha Home Minister Dibyashakar Mishra. Subsequently, even Odisha CM has remained quiet, which makes this case more doubtful. In this case, many ministers and officers are involved. One question wants to ask CM that is Mamita Meher’s family is not your family, not even once you have shown sympathy regarding them. BJP party along with all the Odisha people are demanding to immediately remove Minister Dibyashankar Mishra and hand over this case to CBI for enquiry.â€
