Jharsuguda : A 50-year-old man was killed on the spot after a truck hit the bike on which he was travelling at Sanyasipali Chowk under Kolabira Police limits on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Dinabandhu Majhi, a resident of Sanyasipali.
As reported, on Monday, he was coming from Kuchinda to Kolabira on his bike when he was hit by a truck and died on the spot. Post-accident the villagers had protested for compensation after the intervention of Addl Tehsildar and IIC Sukumar Tripathy who assured proper compensation, the villagers had called off their strike.
