CRPF Jawan from Brajrajnagar kills self with service rifle in Chhattisgarh

Jharsuguda : A 27-year-old CRPF Jawan from Brajrajnagar allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle in Sukuma, a Maoist-infested state in neighbouring Chhattisgarh.

The jawan was identified as Constable Kamla Kant Rohidas, of CRPF’s 223rd battalion, shot himself with an Insas rifle at CRPF Camp on Friday night.

He belonged to Brajrajnagar in Jharsuguda District. He joined the CRPF in 2017 as a young man. Kamala Kant was serving in the 223rd Battalion of the CRPF in Sukuma, Chhattisgarh, shot himself in the midnight.

On Saturday, His body was flown to Jharsuguda’s Veer Surendra Sai Airport on a special helicopter. Kamalakantaďż˝s mortal remains were consigned to flame amid Guard of Honour by the CRPF jawans and local Police officials.
