Jharsuguda Collector visits Kirmira to assess damages done due to heavy rains
Jharsuguda : Jharsuguda Dist. Collector Saroj Kumar Samal visits Kirmira Block to assess the damage done due to heavy rains.
As per sources, Due to heavy rains a 30-meter-long road from Bagdihi to Khadiamal in the Kirmira block was demolished. Jharsuguda District Magistrate Saroj Kumar Samal had visited the site along with District Rural Development Agency Project Director Tapiram Majhi, Roads and Housing Department Executive Engineer, Kirmira Panchayat Samiti Chairman Tejraj Sahu, Tahsildar Mukutmani Khes. Jharsuguda Dist. Collector has ordered immediate restoration work for the road.
Similarly, by an evening around 35 members of nine families from Dubkabahal and Dumbapada of Laikera Block which has been shifted to Dukhbahal Primary School. 70 people of 13 families of Kusthapatra Hamlet, Jharsuguda Block have been moved to IB Primary School. Similarly, 9 members of 3 families in Kolabira Panchayat have been shifted to Kolabira Panchayat Samiti College and two people were rescued by the fire department in Malda panchayat. 142 people of 37 families from Itabhatta area of Brajrajnagar Municipality have been relocated to Itabhatta Primary School.
