Pandian visits Jharsuguda District Headquarter Hospital

Jharsuguda : Secretary of Odisha Government’s 5T Initiative, VK Pandian on Tuesday made a surprise visit to the Jharsuguda District Headquarter Hospital to take the stock of the Government’s ‘Mo Sarkar’ program.

Pandian, accompanied by Development Commissioner, Suresh Mohapatra and Joint Secretary Health & Family Welfare, Guha Poonam Tapas Kumar, arrived at the District Headquarter Hospital. He visited three wards Surgery, Pediatric and Dialysis and discussed with the patients and attendant of the patients there. Later, he held a review meeting with the doctors of the hospital in presence of Jharsuguda district collector, Saroj Samal, DIG (Northern Range) Himanshu Lal, Jharsuguda Superintendent of Police Aswini Kumar Mohanty and others, there.

Pandian, asked the patients about the quality of food, being served at the hospital. Moreover, he also asked the patients whether they are availing the medicine free of cost and whether they are getting the test conducted free of cost. 

Jharsuguda district collector, Saroj Kumar Samal said, they asked the district administration and hospital authorities about the problems of the hospital. They also asked about the steps needed to be taken to provide more facilities and better services to the patients. They also check if people are getting all sorts of facilities and had also thanked doctors. The authorities of District Headquarter Hospital apprised them that there is a need of equipments for Laparoscopy, ENT, Ophthalmology and Endoscopy, for which assurance was given and very soon the procurement of the equipment will be done, he said.

Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO), Jagadish Chandra Barik said, they received positive feedback from the patients and expressed satisfaction. They have also assured to provide all the required help for the development hospital.
