Jharsuguda : Jharsuguda Police on Tuesday booked Veteran Criminal Sonu Ghosh under National Security Act for being involved in more than 50 cases involving murder, extortion etc.
On July, Sonu Ghosh was arrested for his involvement in the murder of one Amit Dhala, which took place in the month of June 2019.
Police arrested him from Kolkata and produced him on the court, after which he was lodged in Choudwar Circle Jail.
Jharsuguda Superintendent of Police Aswini Kumar Mohanty said, ” Sonu Ghosh a veteran Criminal has been involved in 50 cases in Jharsuguda district and he was also the main conspirator in Amit Dhala Murder case and has been in jail custody. However, he has been trying for bail. Once he will be out in bail then he will again involved in different anti-social activity. So, we have detained him under the National Security Act and served him notice at Choudwar jail”
