Sangini Ladies Forum in association with Jharsuguda Airport Authority installs Sanitary Vending Machine at VSS Airport
Jharsuguda: Now, Women passengers at Veer Surendra Sai (VSS)Airport, Jharsuguda will not have to worry about where to buy sanitary pads. Sangini Ladies Forum, women based organization of Jharsuguda in association with Jharsuguda Airport Authorities have installed a sanitary vending machine in the women’s washroom.
” The sanitary napkin vending machine has been installed in the women’s toilet in the departure area at VSS airport, Jharsuguda.” Jharsuguda Airport Director Sudhesh Chauhan said.
” We wanted that no women while travelling through this Airport face any problems, so we thought of installing this vending machine here for the benefits of women, who can avail this by paying just Rs. 5 per pad,” said Sarita Agarwal, President, Sangini Women
The VSS airport was recently inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 22 and had flagged off the First Flight under Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS), UDAN. Presently, Air Odisha has been operating flights under UDAN for Bhubaneswar and Raipur sector.
