Ashram School students flys on the inaugural flight flagged off,under UDAN Scheme by PM

Jharsuguda: Around eight students, including five girl students, of Beheramal Sevashram School, were delighted to the opportunity to fly to Raipur from Jharsuguda in the inaugural flight of UDAN, which was flagged off by the Prime Minister , Narendra Modi on Saturday.

Aďż˝ teacher of the school, Jayanti Pujahari said, the students had never imagined travelling by air. It has come as a surprise gift for the students.

Kabita said, “I am very delighted. This is the first time I saw a flight from so near, earlier I had seen the plane flying in the sky or on television, she said.

Similar sentiments were echoed by the other seven students of the same school who were endowed with the opportunity to fly to Raipur from Jharsuguda in the first flight of UDAN Scheme that was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday.

The eight students including five girls were accompanied by three teachers. A�teacher of the school, Jayanti Pujahari said, the students had never imagined travelling by air. It has come as a surprise for the students, she said.

The students will come back to Jharsuguda by road. The district administration has made all the arrangements to make the students feel privileged and get the experience to fly by air.
