Jharsuguda (IB Thermal): A cricket coaching camp for local youth has begun today at Rajiv Gandhi Ground of Ib Thermal Power Station (ITPS), Banharpali. The camp will continue till 06th �February 2016. This is a CSR initiative of OPGC which aims at development of games and sports in the peripheral area. It may be recollected that under the same programme, football and volleyball coaching camps were organised by OPGC during November 2015 at the same venue.
The first three days of the camp are reserved for selection of eligible and talented players. Today, 40 youth from seven local gram panchayats � Telenpali, Kushraloi, Remenda, Kumarbandh, Tilia, Dalgaon and Pandri have reported for the selection process. The selection process shall continue for the next two days, till 30th January at the end of which a group of talented players shall be shortlisted to undergo intensive coaching under the able guidance of former Ranji Trophy player Mr. Vinod Singh who has been roped in by OPGC as the main coach of this camp. �Four assistants coaches are also working under him to provide an excellent cricket learning experience to talented local cricket players from 31st January till 06 February.
